Betty Ann Liggett Staff passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known for her good humor and easygoing nature, she was dearly loved by her family and friends. Born in Kingston, Tennessee, on June 16, 1934, the daughter of Clair “Whitie” Liggettt and Frances Lorraine Lane Liggett, she was an only child. She married Jack Staff and they had 3 children, Daniel, Judith and Elizabeth. Her husband was a career Air Force Officer and she enjoyed seeing the world and living in other countries with her family through military assignments. Once back in the US, Betty was a 4th grade teacher at Kingston Elementary School and truly enjoyed her students and fellow teachers.
